Player information is added by the person who enters the player.
We always recommend that Players self-register. There is one Source of Truth for all information and it is always most efficient to get the information directly from the Source of Truth. In this case the Player is that Source and knows and owns all their private information. They may choose what information they want to share.
If an Arbiter enters a player, then the arbiter must add the player information. We recommend taking the information from the Source of Truth (player directly).
If a teacher or team captain enters a player, then the teacher/captain must add the player information. We recommend taking the information from the Source of Truth (player directly).
During an Event, the Arbiter may Edit this information or add details if they have player’s permission (eg. player self-registered for the Event). The Arbiter should get this information directly from the player in order to minimise mistakes.
When you are using FIDE mode or a mode of a national federation, the data is loaded from the selected Rating list and connected to the Player’s profile.
