From July 8th to July 10th Costa Rica celebrated the National Youth Championship 2023!
328 players from all the country participated in this event that awarded, for every section winner, a spot in the Youth National Team.
For pairings, Tornelo was used for the first time in that country for a tournament
of that importance with a great success not only for arbiters but also for the general spectators which were able to see the games results practically as soon as every game finished.
The tournament was organized by Montes de Oca Chess Association with the support of Costa Rican Chess Federation (FCA).
